    Description

The Edinburgh Evening Courant Newspaper, June 8, 1776.
    Published:
    June 8, 1776.
4 pp.  Original Revolutionary War era newspaper from Edinburgh that contains a first hand account of the Battle of Moore's Creek by Col. Richard Caswell.
Also, a report by General George Washington announcing the capture of Boston by the Patriots.
Also, a report on the first demonstration of the Ferguson breechloading rifle by Col. Ferguson, who was later killed while commanding the British troops at King's Mountain.
    Uncommon and quite scarce.
I've done my best to describe the newspaper, but if you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail.
