This listing is for an antique United States leather, brass & striped fabric ammo pouch and belt from 1818
The belt features the leather pouch which is marked "OGSF 1818" on the front" - we do not know what OGSF stands for, so we'll leave that up to you, the experts
The belt features brass hinges as well as a brass shield with an open-winged eagle and a brass lion's head - there's also a thin chain between the two
The belt is about 2.25" wide and has red and tan/brown stripes; the fabric is mostly detached from the leather belt, especially around the edges
The pouch measures about 6" across on the front & just a little under 4" from top to bottom
Really cool antique piece. As shown, this belt shows lots of wear due to age & use. The fabric is detached in most spots; it has frays, tears, bends and some discoloration. The leather shows wear with cracks, scratches & some nicks. The brass has some patina/tarnishing. We do not know what OGSF stands for, so we'll leave that up to you, the experts.
