    Description

    A rare original Revolutionary War era hand written invoice for medical treatment and funeral for a dying man, dated Portsmouth, New Hampshire, January 1, 1779, and signed by DOCTOR HALL JACKSON [ b 1739]. He was one of Colonial New England's premier doctors and a pioneer in smallpox inoculation and other medical advances including cataract surgery.
