    Description

    Offered in this 7-day auction is c.1850 Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Lapel Rosette.  Retaining its original tin back in black with raised maker mark, "Annin & Co. NEW YORK".  Annin & Co. incorporated in 1846 and has been producing patriotic items ever since including flags and flag stands.  This rosette is the official rosette of the National Society, Sons of the American Revolution in silk Red, White, & Blue.
