    This is one of the National Bank notes issued i nthe Second Charter Period, July 12, 1882 to April 11, 1902, all in Series 1882. National Bank Notes were authorized by the National Currency Act signed by President Abraham Lincoln on February 25, 1863, and were one of seven different types of paper currency in circulation during and after the Civil War.
