Vintage Ingluvin 5 grain Tablet Bottle G110 William Warner & Co
This item is an empty vintage one ounce bottle of Ingluvin 5 grain tablets.  G100 by William R. Warner & Co Inc. New York, St. Louis, F. Newberry & Sons London Agents.  27 & 28 Charterhouse Square, London, England.
Product was prepared from the Ventriiculus Callosus Gallinoceas. It was indicated for Indigestion, Dyspepsia, Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy.  Bottle is clear, corked, and embossed with WmR Warner&Co New York and St. Louis. The original cork is in place and has not been replaced.  See the picture showing the red Ingluvin.  The bottle is in excellent condition as is the label.  The label shows some minor shelfwear.  Please look carefully at the pictures to assist you with determining the condition.
This product was obtained from the gizzard of the common fowl and similar to pepsin, was used as a tonic to the digestive organs. It was also used for relieving vomiting; especially the "morning sickness" of pregnancy.
This item is from a closed pharmacy and a museum display of vintage medicines, nostrums, remedies, and herbals.
