    Description

    An original historic manuscript from York County, Maine (then part of Massachusetts), completely written and signed in the text several times by WILLIAM FROST, of a copy of his mortgage deed of property in York which he sold to Edward Emerson, dated 1798. Needs research.....WILLIAM FROST [1747-1827] was a Continental Army officer who served seven years during the American Revolution. He was at the Siege of Boston, the Battle of Long Island, the Battles for Manhattan, New Jersey and Valley Forge. In 1779 he was appointed Barrack Master at the fortress of West Point, and served as Commissary General for Patterson's Brigade of Continental troops.
