    ***Brief Description***
    The stamps are considered 'Mint' by my standards.
    The appearance is spot on, and the images are superb.
    There is a light
    hinge mark present at this time.
    The design aesthetic is attractive and the gum is still original.
    A rare find, indeed.
    This is also a pair of C25 & C34 'Airmail' stamps with their own unique design and background.
    The colors are bold, the picture is clear and the typography is excellent.

    **Historical Significance**
    A 'Back of Book' stamp, or 'Airmail' whichever you prefer, is a postage stamp that was designated for a new class, Air Travel.
    Domestic Air Mail service was established by the U.S. Postal Office on May 5th, 1918.
    It was the inauguration of the newly formed Washington-Philadelphia & New York route that made this possible.
    Domestic Air Mail Service became obsolete in 1975, and international service in 1995.
    Their unique design and appearance make it more appealing to collectors and novices alike.
    Highly sought after by enthusiasts worldwide.
    A must have for any collection.
